January 31, 2008

Hey from Manila,
We have had an exciting month with over 25 young people here working inside our community. They impacted prisons and prostitute ministries, hung with street kids, prayed with our children's home kids and community kids. We physically built walls and planted Papaya trees as well as developed relationships with people that will last a life time.
Our home in the south continues to take shape with eleven kids. Pray for Felicity Taylor as she leads our efforts in the home. After spending ten days recently with this group of people I would say it takes more energy to care for those 11 then it does for the 28 in Manila. What a needy bunch of kids.......pray for all of our staff to have patience, love and long-suffering as they impact these kids. Construction is on going as well on the camp sight and future children's home as well... God has provided some amazing funding and we see new signs of life in that place everyday. A Christian mayor is having our road put in and a Christian man from Texas is helping us drill our first well....
Colene and Jackie head out on Outdoor Education next week. This is a first for both mom and daughter!! Pray for their survival techniques to kick in as they explore God's wondrous power around Taal Volcano! They will be gone Feb. 4-8.
The sabbatical time for Jeff ends on January 31st. He will head back to Faith Academy as a teacher and student recruiter....Jeff heads to the United States on Feb 10 to 22 to recruit for Faith Academy. Pray for clear direction and clarity as he seeks Godly Christian teachers to impact the lives of MK's.
There is a strong possiblity our children's home in Manila will accept another 9 children in the next couple of weeks. With this in mind we'll be adding on a dining room on the first floor and nurses quarters on the second floor... Would any of you enjoy coming over to help this construction project move forward? It would be great to have you get involved in whatever way you can.
thanks for praying, your prayer impact our lives.......
